These terms govern your purchase and use of the Livingstone Pro subscription. By subscribing, you agree to them.

1. The service

Livingstone Pro is a paid tier of the Livingstone browser extension. It removes the free tier's daily search limit and unlocks unlimited cross-language searches. Pro is currently available for Google Chrome; versions for additional browsers (such as Firefox, Edge, and Safari) will activate with the same license key as they are released.

2. Subscription and billing

• Livingstone Pro costs $19.99 USD per month, plus any applicable taxes calculated by Paddle at checkout.
• Your subscription renews automatically each month until cancelled.
• Prices may change; we will give at least 30 days' notice by email before any change affects your renewal.
• If a renewal payment fails, Paddle will retry it; during this time your subscription may be marked past due and Pro features may be suspended until payment succeeds.

3. Cancellation

You may cancel at any time via the management link in your Paddle receipt, at paddle.net, or by emailing questions.livingstone@outlook.com. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid billing period; you keep Pro access until then. See our Refund Policy for refunds.

4. License keys

• Each subscription includes one license key in the format LB-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX.
• The key is for your personal use and may be used in the Livingstone extension on browsers and devices you personally use.
• Keys may not be shared, published, resold, or used concurrently by multiple people. We may deactivate keys showing clear signs of sharing or abuse after attempting to contact you.
• Keep your key confidential; treat it like a password.

5. Subscription transfers

• Between your own browsers/devices: always allowed — the same key activates the extension wherever you use it.
• To another person: subscriptions and license keys are non-transferable by default. If you need to move a subscription to a different person or email address (for example within a team or after a company change), contact questions.livingstone@outlook.com; we can usually reassign the billing email and issue a replacement key once per subscription.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to reverse engineer, tamper with the license mechanism, abuse the translation services through automated mass querying, or use Livingstone in violation of applicable law or the terms of the search engines and translation providers it interacts with.

7. Intellectual property

Livingstone, its code, branding, and content are owned by Jaime Vergara. Your subscription grants a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the software — it does not transfer ownership.

8. Disclaimers

Translations are produced by automated systems and may contain errors; search results come from third-party search engines we don't control. Livingstone is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of accuracy, availability, or fitness for a particular purpose, to the maximum extent permitted by law.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of or relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid for the subscription in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Nothing limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced on this page and, where reasonable, by email. Continued use of the subscription after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and subject to any mandatory consumer protections of your country of residence.
